NW 17th Street Closure Begins

A full closure is scheduled on NW 17th Street from October 26 through November 6 as work progresses on the city's NW 15th Avenue roadway improvements. The project extends from West Sunrise Boulevard to Mills Pond Park and includes crosswalks, ADA-compliant ramps, drainage improvements, sidewalk widening, raised intersections, signs, pavement markings, lighting, and landscaping. Drivers and nearby residents should follow posted signs and drive carefully in the work area. The city says the overall project is expected to be completed in late fall 2026, subject to changes from weather or unforeseen conditions.
