Drug Take Back Offers Safe Disposal

McKinney Police Department will hold its Drug Take-Back Event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, October 24, at the Fire Administration Building, 2100 Taylor Burk Dr. The free and anonymous program accepts expired or unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medicines, liquid medications, vitamins, and pet medicine. Needles, sharps, syringes, inhalers, oxygen containers, mercury, chemotherapy or radioactive substances, and illicit drugs are not accepted. Residents can call 972-547-2700 with questions. Medicines may be brought in their original containers after identifying information is removed from labels.
