City Schools Schedule Student Day Off

Students following the regular Lynchburg City Schools academic calendar will not attend school on Monday, October 19, 2026. The district has designated the date as a professional learning and work day for staff. Fort Hill families using that calendar should plan for a weekday without student attendance. The district publishes a separate calendar for W. M. Bass Elementary, so families there should consult their school's schedule rather than assume the regular calendar applies.
