Residents have through Thursday, October 22, to request a public hearing on proposed intersection improvements involving Route 220 and Route 779 in Botetourt County. The proposal would extend the northbound left-turn lane at Catawba Road and close the crossover at Valley Road. Written hearing requests must be sent to Jon Hall, Virginia Department of Transportation, 731 Harrison Avenue, Salem, VA 24153. If a request is received, VDOT will publish the hearing's date, time, and location.
