Weekend I-95 Closures Begin at Route 10

Friday, October 16, 2026 · Cranston, RI

Bridge demolition will bring overnight closures to I-95 at the Route 10 interchange in Cranston and Providence beginning Friday, October 16. On October 16 and 17, lane restrictions begin around 10 p.m., followed by full closures in both directions at midnight. Southbound lanes reopen by 5 a.m. and northbound lanes by 7 a.m. Several connecting ramps also close overnight. Additional restrictions are scheduled for the next two weekends. Drivers should consider I-295 or Route 10 and check updated travel advisories before leaving.
