Calgary Marks Orange Shirt Day

Calgary will hold its 2026 Orange Shirt Day ceremony on Wednesday, September 30, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland, 750 9 Ave. SE. The program will commemorate residential school victims, honour survivors and their families, and invite reflection on reconciliation. The ceremony will include keynote speakers, remarks from the mayor, a moment of silence, cultural performances highlighting Indigenous traditions and youth voices, and a round dance. Chaparral residents are welcome to attend.
