How Much Should Buyers Offer in Scottsdale, AZ in October 2026?
By Jeff Setlow
Scottsdale, AZStart with what the home supports and what you can comfortably afford, not an automatic discount from asking price. I'll help you separate those decisions before you commit.
For Scottsdale single-family homes, condos, townhouses and apartments, the latest market report includes a typical sale price of $950,000. Homes sold for an average of 97.03% of their asking prices. Housing supply, measured in months, was 4.57. These townwide figures provide purchase context, rather than a recommended offer for any individual home.
The average percentage of asking price that homes sold for does not establish the discount you should request. I would give greater weight to recent sales of similar homes and the condition of the property you want. Your financial limit remains a separate boundary, even when a home's asking price appears reasonable.
Review differences in size, condition and features with me to develop a reasonable offer range. Confirm the payment and money needed at closing with your lender before setting the maximum price you are comfortable offering. Choose the financing and inspection requirements you need before deciding which terms to propose.
