The highest offer price is not the whole decision. When offers arrive, I want you to understand the commitments and remaining questions before choosing which terms to accept.
Macomb homes sold for an average of 99.1% of their asking prices in the latest market report. The number of homes sold in the latest market report was 89. The figures cover single-family homes, condos, townhouses and apartments. Neither the completed-sale count nor the average percentage of asking price that homes sold for identifies individual contract terms.
I would compare offers received as complete proposals rather than rank them solely by price. Financing documentation, inspection requirements and proposed dates raise different questions that deserve separate answers. A higher price can still require careful review, while clearer terms do not eliminate the need to understand your obligations.
Put the price, deposit included with the offer and financing information side by side so differences are easy to identify. Review each offer's inspection and financing requirements with me, including the deadlines and obligations they create. Confirm the proposed closing timeline with the professionals handling the transaction before deciding whether it works for your plans.
