The best touring list is not simply the longest one. Start with homes that meet your must-have features and financial limits, then leave room to compare condition and layout in person.
For Stamford single-family homes and condos, townhouses and apartments, the latest market report gives a typical asking price among homes listed for sale of $694,500. For newly listed homes in those property categories, the typical asking price was $695,000. The latest market report counted 117 newly listed homes in the reported property categories. It also recorded housing supply, measured in months, of 2.02 for those homes.
Neither asking-price figure tells you whether a particular home fits your budget or daily needs. I would treat price as an initial screen and look more closely at size, condition and features. A shorter, purposeful touring list makes it easier to remember why each home did or did not work for you.
Separate your must-have features from preferences you could reconsider for the right home. Check the asking price and property details of each candidate against your financing plan before arranging visits. After each tour, note specific tradeoffs so we can compare suitable homes rather than relying on first impressions.
