Help Buyers Understand Your Calgary, AB Listing Photos in October 2026
By Eric Dennis
Calgary, ABYour listing photographs should make the home easy to understand, not make it look like a different property. I favor a preparation plan that clarifies layout and condition while keeping the presentation honest and specific to your sale.
The number of Calgary homes listed for sale in the latest market report was 6,486. The residential benchmark price was $566,700. The typical residential sale price was $574,444. The benchmark describes a typical home using specified property attributes.
Price references cannot determine a photography budget or prove that a particular presentation choice produces a higher sale price. My recommendation is to make the layout, room use, and condition understandable without overstating what the home offers. Preparation should support accurate information, not distract from repairs, disclosure questions, or features that require a clear explanation.
Walk through each room and remove unnecessary items that obscure usable space, while keeping the presentation consistent with the actual property. Complete planned cleaning and essential preparation before photographs so the listing presentation does not depend on unfinished tasks. Verify the descriptions of rooms and features with me, and identify any condition issue that needs an accurate explanation rather than concealment.
