Revisit Your Calgary, AB Row-Home Asking Price Thoughtfully in October 2026
By Eric Dennis
Calgary, ABAn asking-price review should test the reasoning behind the price, not trigger an automatic reduction. We can define that review before launch so later decisions respond to relevant information rather than an assumed selling deadline.
The latest market report placed Calgary's row-home benchmark price at $412,400. The typical row-home sale price was $405,000. Row housing supply, measured in months, was 4.45. Average days on market for row homes that sold was 50.
These figures cannot prescribe a price change or a deadline for changing the asking price of your row home. I would establish a review process before launch, using relevant sales and the specific information available about the listing. A review should test the original assumptions, not automatically reduce the price because an average marketing duration has passed.
Keep a record of the sales and property differences used to choose the starting asking price so the reasoning can be revisited. Agree with me on which information to examine during a review, including relevant completed sales, competing listings, and any actual feedback received. Separate a pricing question from a presentation or information problem before deciding whether a change to the asking price is appropriate.
