Set Your Prosper, TX Home's Asking Price for October 2026
By Garland Best
Prosper, TXChoosing an asking price starts with recent sales of similar homes, not simply matching nearby listings. Let's connect that evidence to your home's condition and features before settling on a starting price.
For Prosper's single-family homes, condos, townhouses and apartments, the September 2026 median list price for active listings was $859,500. The median sold price was $721,643. There were 528 active listings at the end of September 2026. The median list price describes active listings at month-end, while the median sold price describes homes sold during the month.
The difference between those price measures does not establish a discount or show that a particular home is overpriced. For your pricing decision, I would give completed sales more weight than an untested asking price. Other listings still deserve a separate review because they help frame the alternatives a prospective buyer might consider.
Prepare a list of your home's improvements and known repair needs so we can discuss condition accurately. Compare recent sales of similar homes with me, reviewing differences in size, features and condition before choosing your asking price. Agree on what feedback and competing listings we will review after launch, rather than changing price without a clear reason.
