More square footage isn't automatically a better purchase for you. Let's begin with how you'll use each room, then decide which layouts deserve a home visit.
Among Chino homes sold in the latest market report, 56 had three bedrooms. The completed-sale distribution also included 41 homes with four bedrooms. The size distribution included 34 homes larger than 2,400 square feet. These completed-sale counts describe homes that sold, not homes available for you to tour.
Bedroom counts and square footage describe different features, and neither tells you whether a layout works for your needs. I would compare room placement, usable storage and any space you expect to use regularly. A larger home deserves consideration only when its additional space supports your priorities and fits the costs you're comfortable paying.
Separate your must-have features from preferences, explaining the purpose each room needs to serve. During home visits, check whether furniture placement and movement between rooms would work for your intended use. Review similar homes with me and ask your lender about payments before letting extra space justify a higher offer.
